Terms & Conditions – Daily Cruises

Cancellation & Missed Cruise:  If you cancel your booking prior to the departure time a full refund will be made. If you miss your departure time Murray River Paddlesteamers (MRPS) will endeavor to provide you another cruise time on the same day or another day. Any refund will be at the discretion of Management  if another suitable cruise cannot be found.

General:  MRPS reserves the right to cancel any cruise due to river & weather conditions, mechanical failure, or that the minimum number of 10 passengers has not been booked prior to departure.

The Captain at all times reserves the right to put ashore any passenger who disrupts the even flow of a cruise; in such a case, no refund is possible.

MRPS responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel, and whenever passengers leave it, any arrangements made by them or for them are at their own risk.

All fares are in Australian Dollars:  International conversion rates apply at time of balance being paid.  No animals or firearms are allowed on board.

Cost does not include:  Meals not specified, drinks purchased from the bar, insurance against loss of personal items, accident or illness.

Prices and conditions are liable to change without notice.

Terms & Conditions – Accommodated Cruises

Conditions: A deposit of 30% of total cruise cost is required at time of booking.

Full payment is required 30 days prior to travel date.

Bookings made less than one-month prior to travel require full payment at time of booking

Cancellation: If you cancel your booking outside 30 days prior to departure, an administrative charge of $25.00 per person is made: when bookings are cancelled within 30 days of departure, the company reserves the right to retain the full fare.

General: Murray River Paddlesteamers reserves the right to cancel any cruise due to river & weather conditions, mechanical failure, or that the minimum number of 10 passengers has not been booked prior to departure.

In the event of a particular tour being cancelled prior to departure, passengers will be refunded in full, or offered an alternative departure date. If a tour is cancelled mid-way a proportional refund will apply.

Murray River Paddlesteamers takes every reasonable care, but its liability is limited, and passengers are advised to take out baggage, personal accident and illness insurance for the extent of the cruise. We recommend Travel Insurance in case any unforeseen circumstances affect your travel plans and possible incur cancellations.

Terms & Conditions – Charter Bookings

Cruise Policy

Minimum 1 ½ hour booking applies for charters.

Morrisons Winery drop-off is a minimum 1 ½ hour charter or negotiable on a case by case basis.

Where a commercial cruise may be cancelled or due to time required for you to decorate the vessel, we reserve the right to apply a levy.

Deposit Policy

A deposit of $500.00 is required to secure your booking.

Payment Policy

For catering purposes final numbers must be supplied no later than seven (7) days prior to the date of your charter.  This is the number that you will then pay for.

Final payment is to be made 30 Days (30) days prior to your cruise departing.

Decorating Policy

Murray River Paddlesteamers are not responsible for the decorating of the vessel or table decorations prior to the cruise.  If a table layout is requested, Murray River Paddlesteamers will assist with the table layout.  All decorations are to be removed at the conclusion of the cruise.

We usually allow up to 1 hour to set-up the boat.  Extra time is charged at $75.00 per hour.

In the case of a Wedding charter, Murray River Paddlesteamers are able to supply wedding ribbon from the upper deck to the flagpole upon request.

Self-Catering

At the conclusion of your function, all rubbish is to be removed by yourselves. If you choose not to remove your rubbish, a $75 levy will be charged (excluding cans & bottles purchased on-board).

Footwear

Due to the wooden decks on our boats, pencil point (stiletto’s) heel shoes, are not permitted on board.  Therefore, we request alternative footwear is to be worn whilst on board (barefeet is not permitted).

When do we board?

Your charter commences at the agreed departure time. Boarding is fifteen minutes before the scheduled departure.

Getting off?

Whilst we are a little flexible we do request that guests disembark within 20 minutes of berthing so that the crew can perform their post cruise duties.  Thereafter an hourly rate or part thereof will be charged.
